Building with AI. Sharing everything.

I build real software and ship it.
That's the whole pitch. JohData, the tracker that tells the truth about your time, is coming to the desktop and to the phone — built in the open, shipping when it's real, and never described on this site as more than it is.
The numbers are honest. The wins and the dead ends both get posted.
How I got here.
- 2024
Discovered AI
First encountered AI tools. Curious, but no idea where it would lead.
- APR 2025
AI could code — I went all in
Fascinated that AI could write code. Decided to go all in on building with it, and started putting everything I earned into API credits and tools.
- 2025
Learned the fundamentals
Taught myself to type with ten fingers (80–100 WPM). Learned Python. Started web development. No bootcamps, no courses — just building and breaking things.
- 2026
Started JohFlow — the real adventure
Shipped a voice-to-text app in Rust + TypeScript, migrated from Electron to Tauri 2 for native performance, then narrowed the studio to one product in two halves: JohData for the desktop and for the phone. Now sharing the build-in-public journey on YouTube and X.
Honest numbers, no hype.
Building in public means posting the real numbers — what goes out on API credits and tools — not a curated highlight reel. It also means showing the dead ends: the Electron-to-Tauri migration, the features that got cut, the wrong turns that cost weeks.
Let's talk.
Open to feedback, ideas, and people who want to build in public too.
