About · build in public

Building with AI. Sharing everything.

Joh Flow is one person — a self-taught developer who learned to code by building real things and breaking them until they worked. No team, no bootcamps, no courses. Just building, shipping, and sharing the whole journey in the open.
The short version

I build real software and ship it.

That's the whole pitch. Everything on this site is live — a production e-commerce site processing real orders, an AI workforce desktop app written in Rust, a voice-to-text tool, and a tracker that tells the truth about your time.

The code is open. The numbers are honest. The wins and the dead ends both get posted.

Journey

How I got here.

  1. MID 2024

    Discovered AI

First encountered AI tools. Curious, but no idea where it would lead.

  2. APRIL 2025

AI could code — I went all in

Fascinated that AI could write code. Decided to go all in on building with it, and started putting everything I earned into API credits and tools.

  3. 2025

    Learned the fundamentals

Taught myself to type with ten fingers (80–100 WPM). Learned Python. Started web development. No bootcamps, no courses — just building and breaking things.

  4. 2025 — 2026

    Shipped a production e-commerce site

Built mexikanischetortillas.de end to end — React, Supabase, Stripe, three-language i18n. Took months to figure out Stripe, edge functions and real-time stock. It's live and processing real orders.

  5. 2026

Started Joh Flow — the real adventure

Built an AI workforce desktop app in Rust + TypeScript. Migrated from Electron to Tauri 2 for native performance. Now sharing the build-in-public journey on YouTube and X.

Build in public

Honest numbers, no hype.

Transparency is part of the brand. Building in public means posting the real numbers — what goes out on API credits and tools — not a curated highlight reel.

It also means showing the dead ends: the Stripe integration that took months, the Electron-to-Tauri migration, the features that got cut. The point is the journey, shared as it happens.
