Terms of Service

Effective 9 August 2026

These terms govern your use of johflow.com, Joh Flow accounts, paid plans, and the Joh Flow desktop software (JohFlow Desktop, JohData, JohTalk and related tools — the “Software”). Joh Flow is operated by its sole developer (“we”, “the operator”); you can reach us via the contact section. By creating an account or using the Software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Accounts

Accounts are created by signing in with Google; we store the email address, name and avatar that Google provides. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. One account is for one person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent licensing, or break these terms.

2. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed as subscriptions through Stripe; we never see your card details. Prices are shown before checkout and may change — existing subscribers are notified by email before a change affects them, and a price change before your next renewal is a reason you can cancel. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period and no partial refunds are owed for the remainder, except where the law requires one. If a renewal payment fails, access to paid features may be suspended until payment succeeds.

EU consumers: you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting the subscription immediately you request immediate performance; if you withdraw within 14 days, you owe a proportionate amount for the period already supplied.

3. Software licence

Paid Software is licensed, not sold: a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run it on the number of devices your plan allows, for as long as your plan is active. The Software verifies your entitlement periodically and pairs devices to your account; interfering with that verification ends the licence. You may not resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer the Software except where the law expressly permits it. Free Software (JohTalk) is provided free of charge and may be used without an account.

4. The service can change

This is a one-person studio shipping actively. Features may be added, changed or removed; products marked as in development may ship later than suggested or differently than described; the service is provided without an uptime guarantee. We choose what to build and when to release it. Where a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, you can cancel and keep access to the end of the paid period.

5. Your data stays yours

The Software runs on your machine and your working data (files, transcripts, tracking history) stays there. We claim no rights over anything you create with it. Cancelling never deletes anything on your machine.

6. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Free Software is provided as-is to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and does not allow us to exclude.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, account holders are notified by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect; if you do not agree, cancel before that date — continuing to use the service after it means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
